What to do around
The youth hostel is a good base for excursions to the very close Costa Azzurra,to Nice and Monaco di Montecarlo, to the Riviera dei Fiori with Villa Hambury,to Imperia and its museo of oil,to Savona with its Monumental Complex of Priamar, to Genova and its Acquarium,the Children's City and its huge and beautiful old centre.
Very close by are Borgio Verezzi and Toirano with their suggestive natural caves, and Ceriale with its aquatic park Le Caravelle.
This is the ideal place for people who love the sea,but there are not only the beautiful sandy beaches of the gulf , the district offers many trekking and mountain bike paths,full of mediterranean vegetation, old churches,castles and reperts which go from prehistoric times to the time when Finalborgo (one of the nicest medieval borgs of Italy) was the capital of Dei Carretto's marquisate.
In Finale Ligure it is possible to attend courses for diving,horse riding and sailing. You can also whale watch.
There is free climbing,the area offers 10 km squared of rocks to climb and more than 1500 climbing tracks.
There is a great variety of climbing tracks, with different levels of difficulty,which make the area good in every season.
In Perti there is the homonymous Rock and many others:Mount Sordo, Mount Cucco,the Corno Rock,the Ponci Valley..
